These Terms are an agreement between Zeigler Technology LLC, an Indiana limited liability company ("we", "us"), and the law firm or other organization that subscribes ("Customer", "you"). The person accepting confirms they can bind the Customer.
1. What DocketBridge is
DocketBridge is desktop software that helps law firms organize docket and calendar information (for example, syncing docket entries with calendars and billing tools, and optionally reading notices with AI). It is a record-keeping and organizing tool. It is not a docketing service, a rules engine, or legal advice.
2. Deadlines — you stay responsible (important)
- DocketBridge does not calculate deadlines. Dates come from you, your staff, or your source systems (such as court/agency notices or other docketing tools).
- AI never sets a date. AI notice reading is on by default and can be turned off. When it is on, it only suggests information for a person to review and confirm.
- Attorneys must independently verify every deadline against the governing rules, orders, and source documents. You remain solely responsible for meeting deadlines, for your professional obligations, and for supervising anyone who uses DocketBridge.
- Sync, calendars, email, and internet services can fail or be delayed. Do not rely on DocketBridge as your only reminder system.
- We are not liable for missed deadlines, malpractice claims, sanctions, or lost rights, to the extent the law allows (see Section 11).
3. Accounts and users
- Additional users are billed per user. Each license may be activated on a limited number of computers.
- Keep license keys and logins confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 18 and use DocketBridge for business purposes only.

Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude taxes, which you pay where applicable. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers. Payment (or a card on file for a trial) is required before access.
5. 7-day free trial
- Monthly and yearly paid plans start with a 7-day free trial.
- Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your card will be charged the plan price you selected (monthly or annual) on the day the trial ends, and every billing period after that until you cancel.
- We will email a reminder 7 days before the trial ends, stating the price, billing frequency, renewal terms, and a link to cancel online.
- You can cancel during the trial online and will not be charged.
6. Automatic renewal
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each monthly or annual term at the then-current price, charged to your payment method on file, until you cancel.
- Before you subscribe, checkout shows the price, billing frequency, and that it renews automatically, and you must agree to it.
- After you subscribe, we email a confirmation with these terms and how to cancel.
- For annual plans, we will email a renewal reminder 30 days before each renewal date (with the price, term, and a cancel link).
- At least once a year, we will remind every subscriber (monthly or annual) of their subscription, its price and frequency, and how to cancel.
- If we change a price, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect.
- A price change applies only at your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
7. Cancelling
- Cancel anytime online through the billing portal (link in the app and in your account emails), or by emailing hello@docketbridge.app.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You keep full access until then.
- After that, your account becomes read-only, and export of all your data remains available.
8. Refunds
- Because every plan starts with a 7-day free trial that you can cancel online without charge, payments are non-refundable except as stated here or required by law. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access through the period you paid for.
- Annual renewal grace: if you forgot to cancel an annual plan, email us within 14 days after the renewal charge and we will refund it in full and cancel.
- We will always refund our own billing errors (for example, duplicate charges).
- Please contact us before disputing a charge with your card issuer; we will try to fix it quickly.
9. Your data
- Your firm data stays on your computers. DocketBridge stores docket, matter, and calendar data locally. You own your data, and you can export it at any time.
- Our account server stores only what we need to run subscriptions (see the Privacy Policy).
- If you connect third-party services (for example, calendar, email, billing, or docketing tools), data moves between your computer and those services under your accounts and their terms.
- Confidentiality: We understand that firm data can include client confidences. We do not access your locally stored firm data except as you direct (for example, if you share files with us for support). If AI notice reading is on, notice text is sent to our AI providers only to process it (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for deciding whether using DocketBridge and its features fits your ethical duties, including any client consent.
- You are responsible for backups of your computers. DocketBridge offers encrypted backups and export, but no backup method is guaranteed.
10. Acceptable use
Don't: copy, resell, or sublicense the software; reverse engineer it except where law allows; bypass license or seat limits; use it unlawfully; or interfere with our servers.
11. Warranties and limitation of liability
- DocketBridge is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise the software is error-free or uninterrupted.
- We make no claim of any security or compliance certification.
- To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or claims by your clients, including from missed deadlines.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them.
12. Indemnity
You will defend and hold us harmless against third-party claims (including client claims) arising from your legal services, your data, or your breach of these Terms.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access for non-payment or serious breach, with notice where practical. Unpaid accounts become read-only with export available. Our payment processor and account emails show the cancellation date. Sections that by nature should survive (deadlines, liability, indemnity, governing law) survive.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will email you at least 30 days ahead. Continuing to use DocketBridge after that means you accept them; if you don't, you can cancel.
15. Governing law
Indiana law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought only in the state courts located in the county of our principal office in Indiana (currently Hendricks County) or the U.S. District Court for the district covering that county, and both parties consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there. Either party may bring an eligible claim in small claims court. Each party waives a jury trial to the extent the law allows, and claims may be brought only individually, not as a class action, to the extent the law allows. Either party may seek an injunction in any court to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
16. General
These Terms (and the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement. If part is unenforceable, the rest stands. Neither party may assign this agreement without consent, except as part of a merger or sale. Failure to enforce isn't a waiver.
