This policy explains how Zeigler Technology LLC ("we") handles information for DocketBridge and docketbridge.app.
Account server (hosted on Render in the United States) stores only: - the account email address; - Stripe customer and subscription IDs; - a hashed license key (we don't keep the readable key); - machine activations (an identifier for each activated computer, used to enforce seat limits); - If your firm turns on team features, the server also stores matter numbers, assigned dates, who owns each date, its status (open, acknowledged, done), and busy start and end times from linked calendars. All of this is encrypted with a key unique to your firm. It never includes client names, notice text, calendar event titles, or PDFs, which stay on your firm's computers. Each firm's data is kept separate, and no firm can see another firm's information. - If you install phone alerts, the server stores your device's push address so it can send you alerts. Removing the phone or wiping its session deletes that address.
Payments: Stripe collects and processes card and billing details. We see limited details such as the card brand, last four digits, and billing status.
Error reports: If the app hits an error, we may receive a diagnostic report. We scrub these reports to remove personal and client data before they are sent. Error tracking (Sentry) is off unless you opt in.
Support: whatever you choose to send us when you contact us.
Website: basic server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and operations. We do not use website analytics or tracking cookies.
Phone alerts: Alerts sent to your phone contain neutral text only, such as "New date assigned to you. Open to view." They never show client names or matter details on your lock screen. To deliver them, we pass the alert through your phone's own push service: Apple for iPhone, Google for Android and Chrome, or Mozilla for Firefox.
Calendar availability: If you connect Google Calendar or Microsoft 365, DocketBridge reads only your busy and free times to show your workload. It does not read event titles, attendees, or details.
DocketBridge stores firm data — dockets, matters, deadlines, calendar entries, and audit logs — in a local database on your computers. Backups are encrypted. You can export all of your data at any time, including after you cancel. When you connect services such as Clio, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, or AppColl, data moves directly between your computer and those services under your own accounts.
AI notice reading is on by default and can be turned off. When it is on, the text of notices you choose to process is sent to Anthropic, with Microsoft Azure OpenAI as a backup, to extract suggested information for a person to review. AI never sets a date. We use the providers' commercial API services. Anthropic's Commercial Terms state that Anthropic may not train models on customer content, and Microsoft states that Azure OpenAI prompts and completions are not used to train, retrain, or improve base models and are not available to OpenAI. Turn it off in Settings at any time; nothing is sent to AI providers when it's off.
To provide and secure the service, process payments, enforce licenses and seats, send service emails (receipts, trial and renewal reminders, license keys), give support, and meet legal obligations.

We'll update this list before adding a provider that receives your data.
We know law firms owe duties of confidentiality to clients. Our design keeps client data local so that we don't hold it. We will not access firm data on your computers. If you give us data for support, we'll use it only to help you and delete it when finished.
We keep account data while you're subscribed. After cancellation, your firm data remains on your computers and you can export it at any time. We delete or de-identify the account email, license and activation records 90 days after your subscription ends (so you can reactivate or recover access), except invoices, payment and tax records, which we keep for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes, and records of your consent to auto-renewal terms, which we keep for at least 3 years or 1 year after the subscription ends, whichever is longer. Encrypted backups roll off within 30 days after that. You can ask us to delete your account data sooner, except what we must keep by law.
We use encryption in transit, hashed license keys, access controls, and secret-free logs. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim any security or compliance certification (such as SOC 2 or HIPAA). If a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you as the law requires.
You can access, correct, export, or delete your account data by emailing hello@docketbridge.app. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights, and we won't discriminate against you for using them. We do not sell or "share" personal information for advertising.
DocketBridge is for businesses and not intended for anyone under 18.
We'll post updates here and email account holders about material changes.
